There is no summer without homemade lemonade. With this simple recipe for a Lemon-Rosemary-Syrup I am preserving the flavour of summer. By the way, this is also a pretty little gift for family and friends. Original recipe from Martha Stewart.

Serve: for 18 drinks

6 lemons

4 cups sugar

4 cups water

4 springs rosemary

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Juice lemons.
  2. Remove the peel from lemons with a grater (I am using a micro grater), leave bitter white pith behind.
  3. Comine peel, juice plus remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain throug a fine sieve and chill.
  5. Fill up in a Weck glass or a clip-lock bottle.
