Boiled Potatoes with Linseed Oil-Quark (Pellkartoffeln mit Leinöl-Quark)

2 portions potatoes in the skin

200 g Quark / curd cheese

1 red bell pepper

2 – 3 tbsp. Leinöl / linseed oil, according to taste

1 small onion

salt and pepper

1 pinch sugar

2-3 stemps of parsley



  1. Boil potatoes.
  2. Clean bell pepper and onion, dice
  3. Clean Parsley, chop
  4. Combine Quark, Leinöl, bell pepper, onion, parsley and sugar. Mix well.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste

The original recipe from my German grandma is without bell pepper. My dad used sometimes pickled silver skin onions instead of regular onions, which gives another taste. I like bought variations and depends of the season I combine the Quark with bell pepper and/or apple cubes.
